Jackie Mattos (St Mary Academy-Bay View) won the girls' 5000 meters at the Quaker Invitational in 18:49.21, improving from her previous best of 19:10.85. The time ranks #1 in Rhode Island and #1 among seniors in the state.
Keira Closter (Block Island) ran 19:04.10 in the girls' 5000 meters at the Quaker Invitational, placing second and improving from 19:37.36. The time sets a Block Island High School record and ranks #2 in the state and #1 among freshmen.
Aliza Brennan (Middletown) finished third in the girls' 5000 meters at the Quaker Invitational in 20:45.53, bettering her previous mark of 21:22.56. The time moves her to #3 in Rhode Island and #2 among seniors.
Colby Napolitano (Barrington) placed second in the boys' 5000 meters at the Quaker Invitational with a time of 15:35.56, improving from 16:03.36. The performance ranks #2 in the state and #2 among juniors.
Ryan Hurlock (Barrington) ran 16:01.89 for third place in the boys' 5000 meters at the Quaker Invitational, improving from his previous best of 16:35.00. The time ranks #3 in Rhode Island and #1 among sophomores.
Oscar Li (Moses Brown) finished seventh in the boys' 5000 meters at the Quaker Invitational in 16:54.49, improving from 18:17.62 set in November. The time moves him to #7 in the state and #2 among sophomores.
