Adi Nielson ran a great prelim on Friday which gave the junior the number one seed time going into Saturdays finals.  Nielson must have been having some deja vu seeing how this exact scenario played out at last years meet.  Only this time, she walked away with the 1st place medal!

Adi is primarily a 300 hurdle athlete but enjoys the opportunity to work on her 400 during the indoor season with her club team Gold Medal Athletics.  Adi opened up her season with a win at the BYU HS indoor invitational and has been consistently under 60 seconds throughout this indoor season with her season best being 57.91 from the Utah Distance Challenge.

Finishing as Adi's runner up was her club teammate Brilee Pontius.  Brilee and Adi have been trading places in the 400m all season but both have yet to finish lower then 2nd place in a meet.  Pontius has also been consistently under 60 seconds with her season best being 57.63 at the Utah Distance Challenge.

Rounding out the top five was Elizabeth Butler who finished in 3rd with a time of 58.65,  fourth was Jade Wimmer in a time of 59.04, and finishing the Utah sweep was Lone Peak sophomore Alexia Goff who ran 59.49.
