A career day at The Texas Relays led to Gennifer Hirata's first National Performer of the Week honor.

The Fredericksburg Stafford (VA) senior, a University of South Dakota signee in the pole vault, cleared 14-feet for the first time in her career to win the prestigious event in Austin, Texas.

Hirata then led the voting for National Performer, generating over 66-percent of the vote and gaining nearly 1,600 tallies to run away with the victory.

A big congrats goes out to Hirata on the recognition!

Now let's move on to the voting this week, which will cover the week of April 1-7.

Below, we have eight more girls nominees for this week's top honor. Vote in the poll below and let us know your thoughts in the comments.
