On Thursday afternoon, 20 schools will be heading down to Burrillville Middle School for the annual Skee Carter/Bronco Invitational. The event has attracted some of the state's best, including last year's girls' state champion Ellie Lawler of South Kingstown and Cumberland's Ben Drezek, who currently ranks No. 2 in the state after his 15:29 5K effort at the recent Brown Invitational. Both are the returning individual winners in their respective races at the Bronco Invite.
