Road Races, Cross-Country Previews On Tap In Coming Weeks on MileSplit RI

It's only a matter of time before we're out there covering this great sport of cross-country in the Ocean State. As we indicated previously, we'll preview the upcoming season the best way we know how with plenty of features and stat-driven articles in the next few weeks. But that's not the ONLY thing that will keep us busy this month. Besides the dirt trails, we'll also be out on the roads, providing coverage for a series of popular summer road races. We were just down in Narragansett for the 44th annual Blessing of the Fleet 10-Mile Road Race, won for the seventh time by former Warwick Vets' standout Matt Pelletier. We'll also be at four other road races before the summer is finished - Cumberlandfest 5K (Aug. 6), Run4Kerri (Aug. 7), Bobby Doyle Summer Classic (Aug. 14) and "Yo" Raymond Memorial 5K (Aug. 27).
