K of C Relays Wrap-Up

La Salle's Jack Salisbury, Matt Bouthillette and DJ Principe ran the fastest splits of the day.

Bishop Hendricken and Bishop Feehan clocked the fastest times of the day in their respective boys' and girls' races at the 48th annual Knights of Columbus Four-Mile Relay on Saturday. 

The Hawks' squad of Avery Ingegneri, Michael Kiernan, Jeffery Venter and Tom McMahon combined for a winning time of 18 minutes, 25.20 seconds. With a 4:28 anchor from Sean Laverty, Cumberland was second overall at 18:46.70. La Salle, which occupied the next two positions, split up its talented trio of Jack Salisbury, Matt Bouthillette and DJ Principe, who all ran on separate relays teams. Running the leadoff legs for their respective squads, all three were timed in the three fastest times of the day with Salisbury and Principe running 4:17 and Bouthilette also dipping under 4:20.


In the girls' race, the Feehan quartet of Meg Carmody, Emily Doold, Abigail Long and Brenna Thibodeau combined for a first-place time of 23:01.70. La Salle took the next three spots with its' 'A' team finishing second at 23:16.80

Bishop Hendricken swept the first three placement in the freshmen mile race with Nick Braz edging teammate Jonathan Iamarone with a time of 4:57.90. Iamarone crossed the line in 4:58.90 and the Hawks' Aidan Tierney was third in 5:00.0.

The girls' race was captured by Porstmouth's Elizabeth Sullivan, who won convincingly with a time of 5:24.90. Teammate Nikki Merill was second at 5:47.90.

In the hammer throw, Barrington's Bobby Colantonio tossed a nation No. 1 of 243 feet, 6 inches. The girls' event was won by Toll Gate's Courtney Jacobsen, who unleashed a nation No,.2 of 176-1.
