Rhode Island athletes achieved their share of national-level performances at the girls' divisional championships, held Saturday at the Providence Career and Technical Academy field house.

La Salle Academy junior Eliza Rego was a double-winner in the Bayha Division with a nation No. 3 in the 3,000-meter run of 10 minutes, 8.20 seconds. Rego also captured the 1,000m where she was timed in a season best of 2:59.20 (US #25).

The Rams, who won the team crown, also had a strong effort from senior Sheridan Wilbur, who ran away from the field in the 1,500m where she crossed the line in 4:47.20, a few ticks from her SB of 4:45 (US #6). She was also second in the 1,000m at 3:01.70.

In the high jump, Narragansett senior Carly Timpson tied her PB of 5 feet, 6 inches to take the title in the Sullivan Division. That leap currently ties her for 16th in the country.

Classical's Lysah Russell moved up to No. 4 in the national rankings in the weight throw with a best of 54-10 in the Headley Division.

Hope senior and nationally-ranked sprinter Quashira McIntosh claimed two titles in the Dwyer Division with victories in the 55m dash (7.31) and 300m (41.71). She also ran a leg on the Blue Waves' first-place 4x200m (1:45.60) and 4x400m (4:10.40) relay squads.
