What does it mean to you to be invited to the Brooks PR Invitational?
To be invited to Brooks PR Invitational is an honor and a blessing, simply because I have worked really hard for a long time to achieve national recognition. Brooks was a goal late in the indoor season, and to have achieve such goal means the world to me.

What do you hope to achieve?
At the meet I hope to place in the top three, at least. I'm thankful to be invited and I don't want to get my hopes up too high, so as long as I achieve top three, my heart will be content.

What's music do you listen to before races?
Honestly, before races I listen to all of Adele, and slow, smooth R&B, only to calm my nerves when I get tense and nervous about my races.

If you were stranded on an island with three things what would they be?
If I were stranded on an island, three things I would like to have would have to be: my cell phone, a pack of Oreos and Listerine to ensure that my mouth smells good and my stomach is full! :)

Do you have a favorite food?
My favorite food would have to be Kit-Kats and Oreos! They make me so happy, all the time! Takes my mind off most races, honestly.

What are some things un-running related people might not know about you?
An un-running related thing about me is that I dance! I am a contemporary/modern dancer and I am in love with the art form! I am in love with track and field and dance, they both give me so much life and so many opportunities to express myself in different ways.

How and why did you get involved in the sport?
To be honest, my dad and my uncle Anthony introduced me to the sport of track and field. My dad wanted me to follow his footsteps, you know be a chip off the ol' block, and run track like he did and my uncle knew a program nearby, and that's when my life became awesome! :)

How is training leading up to the meet and outdoor?
My training leading up to Brooks is stressful, because I want to be great in what I do at this meet, and it's a lot of pressure on my shoulders that I am ready to release! Training leading into high school outdoor season is also stressful because I feel as though I have a target on my back because I am a state champion and people are probably working hard just to get the title I solely claim!
