Several Bay Staters made it to the top of the podium at Saturday's USATF New England Open and Masters Track & Field Championships, held at the College of Holy Cross.
Recent Northampton grad Nikolas Smith was a double-winner, capturing the open men's 400-meter run with a time of 49.06 seconds. He also broke the tape in the 200m dash in 21.91.
Rachelle Parker, a Wellesley grad, claimed the open women's 100m dash with a time of 12.67. She also was second to junior teammate Anna Jordahl Henry in the 200m with a time of 27.28. Jordahl-Henry won the event in 25.92.
Wellesley's Julia Jordahl Henry, another senior-to-be, took the high jump crown with a leap of 5 feet, 5 inches.
In the 110m hurdles, the first across the line was recent Old Rochester grad Danny Renwick, who was timed in 15.67.
Princeton-bound Clare Martin of Newton South demonstrated her versatility by winning the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:07.11. She also placed fourth in the 200m with a 28.07 clocking.
