Insane Sub-5 For Bishop At Chocolate Milk Mile!!!

We already knew that Mars Bishop was a great runner. The recent Barrington High grad proved that throughout his four years for the Eagles

But the 18-year-old Bishop brought it to another level on Sunday.

At the second annual Chocolate Milk Mile, held at the Will Speck Track in Cranston, Bishop destroyed the meet record with a incredible time of 4 minutes, 56 seconds. Think about that for a minute. Bishop was able to run sub-5 despite drinking four full cups of chocolate milk before each lap. Finishing second was onetime Cumberland star Will Mardo, who clocked an impressive 5:04. Both were well under the old meet record of 5:35, set last year by co-meet director Dylan Manning at the inaugural event. In all, 15 runners were under the mark!

A total of 42 runners participated in Sunday's race. More importantly, the event raised $300 for the Ronald McDonald House.
