MileSplit RI's Most Memorable Moments Of 2016

There were several highlights in the month of February.. On Valentine's Day, Feb. 14 at the Reggie Lewis Center in Boston, La Salle's Jack Salisbury got redemption in the Junior Mile of the New Balance Grand Prix. A year after coming just a lean away from a victory, Salisbury got it right the second time around by winning the individual title with a new state record of 4:08.33. The Ram standout had to hold off a gusty effort by Thomas Ratcliffe of Concord-Carlise (MA), who finished second at 4:08.74. Salisbury's clocking at the time ranked No. 3 in the country and beat the 2009 state mark of 4:08.47 by former Westerly great Andrew Springer.
