Brown Northeast Invitational Headquarters

The second and last regional competition in Rhode Island will be held once again at Goddard State Memorial Park with the annual Brown Northeast Invitational. In the past, this meet has drawn its share of quality competitors, including multiple NCAA track and cross-country champion Edward Cheserek of Oregon, who won the 2011 event with a course record of 14 minutes, 34.7 seconds.

The Brown Invite attracts teams from throughout the northeast region, including Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Connecticut, Vermont, Maine and New York. Rhode Island schools entered this weekend are Cumberland, North Providence, South Kingstown, Smithfield, Coventry, Barrington, Mount St. Charles and Bay View Academy.
