Knights continue to shine
Two races, two All-American finishes, two state records for Central High.
The Knights made their second event in as many days at the New Balance Nationals just as memorable on Saturday. The quartet of Franklin Mercardo, Dametrius O'Connor, Austin Wolo and Donatien Djero combined their efforts to place fourth in the 4x200-meter relay with a new R.I. record of 1:27.55.
The Knights also earned the last qualifying spot for the 4x100m relay with O'Connor, Mercado, Wolo and Djero establishing another state mark of 41.86.
