Day 1 at New Balance Nationals


In the first Championship Event of the New Balance Nationals Outdoor Championships on Friday, Central High achieved All-American status, just missing out on the overall title. The Knights were second in the Swedish Relays, clocking a state-record time of 1:54.93. East Orange of New Jersey was first at 1:54.88. Central smashed their 2014 state mark of 2:00.28, also set at the Nationals.

Narcisse fifth in EE 110HH

Classical's Nathan Narcisse earned the final qualifying spot for the Emerging Elite 110-meter hurdles, finishing sixth in his heat with a time of 14.20. He was fifth in the finals, clocking a time of 14.49.

Matos tops field in EE hammer

Central junior Adrian Matos took top honors in the EE hammer with a winning toss of 187-11.  Teammate Jody Harris was third with a distance of 180-1
