Hawks dominant at Manchester Invitaional

Bishop Hendricken, recently ranked No. 24 in the Saucony Flo50 National X-C Rankings, demonstrated its talented and unlimited depth at Saturday's Manchester Invitational.

The Hawks not only walked away with the overall varsity team title, but also captured the JV and freshmen titles, too. In all three races, Hendricken defeated the host state's Pinkerton Academy/

In the varsity race, Dominic Parlato and Avery Ingegneri finished fourth and fifth, respectively, with identical times of 16 minutes, 3 seconds. The Hawks had all five of their scoring runners among the top 16 to defeat second-place Pinkerton, 53-65.

Matt Wilks (17:26) and teammate Jeffrey Venker (17:28) were 2-3 in the JV race to lead Hendricken to a convincing 30-84 decision over Pinkerton. Nick Braz's led the Hawks in the Frosh Race by finishing third overall with a time of 11;28 for the two-mile course. Hendricken won with a 52-66 decision.
