La Salle Academy junior-to-be D.J. Principe finished among the leaders in the always-competitive Run4Kerri road race on Sunday. Principe finished fifth overall with an unofficial time of 20 minutes, 21 seconds for the four-mile course, an average of 5:05 per mile.
The race was won by Kenya's Glarius Rop with a course record of 19:23. Finishing second and third, respectively, was Eric Lonergan and Matt Pelletier. Providence College grad Lauren Nagel established a course mark for women with a winning time of 21:38.
Former East Greenwich all-stater and recent LaSalle College grad Nick Ross finished seventh in the race.
