Paiva, DiTraglia make college choices

La Salle Academy distance ace Dan Paiva and Rams' sprinting star Stephanie DiTraglia officially signed their college letters of intents on Friday.

Paiva, a member of the school's national champion indoor 4x1 mile relay squad, will be taking his talent to Northeastern University. Throughout his career, Paiva has excelled in the middle-to-long distance events. He owns best of 4:18 for the mile, 8:48 for 3K and 15:45 for 5K. He was third in the 1,500-meter run at the indoor state meet this past winter and won the mile at the East Coast Invitational, which earned him a berth to the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix Junior Mile event.

DiTraglia, who is one of the state's best runners in the short sprints, will be attending the University of New Hampshire next fall. She was second in the 55m dash and third in the 300m at the indoor states in February. She owns PB of 7.27 for 55m, 12.40 for 100m, 25.76 for 200m and 42.37 for 300m
