A few local schools made the trek up north for the annual Manchester Invitational in New Hampshire.
Bishop Hendricken earned a fourth-place finish in the Large School division with 162 points. The Hawks were led by senior Michael Potter, who placed 12th overall in 16 minutes, 39 seconds. Teammate Avery Ingegneri was 18th at 16:51.
In the Small School division, South Kingstown placed third overall in the girls' team scoring, while Bay View was tenth. The Rebels' Ellie Lawler was the top R.I. finisher, taking third with a 19:25 clocking. Narragansett's Marissa McPhiilips was 11th in 19:59. She was just ahead of Bay View's Claire Hanlon, who was 14th in 20:04.
Hendricken captured the junior varisty title with just 21 points. Dom Parlato took individual gold with a strong time of 17:01.
